young pitching needed

Okay, look.  The Yankees need to find or develop more young pitching talent.  I liked the idea of bringing Eric Milton back. Show me where the Yankees have done wrong with their first-round draft picks.  But now we have Jaret Wright.

Go us.

Brad Halsey, a pawn in the Randy Johnson scheme, didn't have much of a season in the majors last year, which I view as a good thing.  Now he and his slowball will be in Oakland.

Chien-Min Wang needs to stay healthy.  He ought to be one of the five starters for the whole season.

Scott Proctor was a real dog in the past with his sporadic appearances, but really gained strength last season.  He had a strong spring this year too.

will rogers manage his anger?

Kenny Rogers, former Yankee and current Tiger lefty, will undergo anger management counseling.  According to Wikipedia, successful completion of anger management will reduce the severity of his misdemeanor for the cameramen-shoving and camera-kicking incident of June 29, 2005.

When he was with the Yankees, Rogers had what I considered to be unremarkable seasons and statistics.  Since that time, however, he has certainly impressed me.

come back, clemens

I, for one, want to witness another Roger Clemens season.  It doesn't matter which team he joins.  I won't care if he has a great season start, begins to falter, and retires mid-season.  If he has something left, he should use it!

After a spring training game, Barry Bonds said that he would answer questions about baseball and nothing else.  I have a question for Barry:

Are you a cheater?

opening day pitchers

There's something I really don't understand.  Can anyone explain to me why teams are already naming their opening day starting pitchers?  Pitchers and catchers commonly report to spring training before the other players, but there's still an entire month before opening day.
